I SEE LONDON

View from Waterloo Bridge

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to take a little three-day vacation from Ireland and fly over to London! Myself along with my friend Kat jam packed our weekend with your typical tourist spots and tasty food. Coming from New Jersey, I have grown up visiting New York City often. I found that they were very similar except London does not smell nearly as bad, and the buildings are not as tall. London also has a few more eye pleasing buildings than New York does.

Kat and I stayed in the St. Christopher's Village - London Bridge. It was my first hostel experience and I actually really enjoyed it. We shared a private two-bed room for two nights and it was perfect. We were only in the room at the very end of the night when we were headed off to bed.

Saturday we spent the entire day sightseeing. Big Ben was my favorite of all the attractions. Westminster is a beautiful part of the city and I highly recommend walking through if you're ever in the UK. If you are looking to pack a lot into a small amount of time Hop On - Hop Off Bus Tours are a great option! They take you to all major attractions and its super easy to walk to near by places. Kat and I did that and got to see everything we wanted to for £40.

We ate at a really great restaurant near the London Eye called Las Iguanas. They had a great variety of Latin American food and it was an awesome choice. We shared the Mango & Brie Empanadas which I highly recommend. They have a great drink special from 12-7pm; 2 for 1 cocktail drinks!! The Vanilla Mai Tai and Pink Passion Fruit cocktails were both super tasty.

Sunday morning before heading out Kat and I ate at The Breakfast Club. That was probably the best breakfast I have had since being in Europe.

Although I was not in London for long, I got to see everything I had on my list, ate some really great food, partied until 3am with one of my new best friends and I wouldn't of have done it any other way. You can check out my Instagram for more pictures!

Quick tip for London: Although the Black Cabs are tempting to take since they look so cute, use Uber! It's way cheaper!

Cheers, Nikki
